Life’s Juggle: Balancing Ambition and Creativity

On a personal note, this past semester has officially wrapped up! It’s a huge relief, and I’m now looking ahead to what *should* be my very last semester. However, the path to graduation is rarely straightforward, is it? I’m currently contemplating a significant decision: whether to tackle my final 6-credit capstone course independently or combine it with two other demanding classes. This semester was, to put it mildly, a bit “cray cray” trying to juggle a full-time job, nurture this blog (which often feels like a second full-time commitment!), and keep up with three rigorous courses simultaneously. The thought of graduating in May is incredibly motivating, pushing me to weigh all my options carefully before the January drop/add date. It’s a common challenge for many of us balancing careers, personal passions, and educational pursuits, but finding that equilibrium is truly marvelous!

Counting Down to Christmas (and the Music Debate!)

Can you believe that Christmas is just 12 days away? The festive season is truly upon us! This means holiday preparations are in full swing – from gift wrapping to menu planning, and of course, the ever-present holiday music. Speaking of which, I have a little secret to confess: while I appreciate the spirit, I pretty much loathe most traditional Christmas music. There are a select few carols I enjoy, but the endless loop of the same songs, played from Thanksgiving (or even earlier!) until Christmas day, can honestly drive me a little nuts! Am I alone in feeling this way? Perhaps it’s just the overexposure, but sometimes a little quiet or a different genre is a welcome change amidst the jingle bells. Regardless, the magic of Christmas baking and crafting is something I wholeheartedly embrace, and I know many of you do too, which is why our link party is buzzing with holiday-themed inspiration!
