Reflecting on a Wonderful Thanksgiving and a Busy Week
To all my American friends, I hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful and heartwarming as mine! It truly was a fantastic few days filled with cherished moments and delicious indulgence. I had the pleasure of spending quality time with my beloved mom, my brother, sister-in-law, and my adorable niece and nephew. We certainly ate a ton of amazing food – as is tradition – and then my mom treated us to an outing at a beautiful park on a preserve, complete with a huge lookout tower offering breathtaking views. It was the perfect way to enjoy the crisp autumn air and create lasting family memories.
Friday brought a delightful change of pace. Ken and I enjoyed a lovely brunch at a charming, fancy little spot in Palm Beach. After the initial Black Friday shopping frenzy had subsided a bit, I couldn’t resist a visit to one of my absolute favorite kitchen stores, Sur La Table, where I happily picked up a few new treasures to inspire future culinary adventures. Saturday was dedicated to getting our home into the holiday spirit with some festive decorating, transforming our space into a cozy winter wonderland. Today, Sunday, has been a bit of a potluck day – juggling many different tasks, including crafting this very post for you! Tomorrow, it’s back to the usual grind, which always feels a little bit “boo” after such a wonderful long weekend. But the memories and the holiday cheer will certainly carry me through!
